Terms of Service

August 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of Fabulada, a free bedtime-story generator. By using the site, you agree to them. Fabulada is a pre-launch, independent project — treat everything about it, including these terms, as something that may still change.

Who runs Fabulada

Fabulada is operated by an individual, not a registered company, and is offered as-is and free of charge. Contact: privacy@fabulada.com.

Who can use Fabulada

Fabulada is meant for a parent or other adult caregiver to use on a child’s behalf — you type the topic, and you review what comes back before reading it aloud. You must be an adult capable of forming a binding agreement to use the service. It is not intended for a child to use directly or to submit information about themselves.

The service

You give Fabulada a topic; it returns a short story generated by an AI model, checked against a fixed set of safety rules before it’s shown to you. Because the service is free, pre-launch, and under active development, features, limits, and availability may change or be removed at any time without notice, and we may suspend or discontinue the service entirely.

AI-generated content — please review before reading aloud

Every story is machine-generated and passed through an automated safety check before publication, not a human reviewer. The check is deliberately narrow — it looks for danger to a character and cruelty — and can miss things a person would catch, or flag something harmless. We do our best to keep stories age-appropriate, factually harmless, and gentle, but Fabulada cannot guarantee any story is free of errors, odd phrasing, or content you’d rather your child not hear. You are responsible for reviewing a story before reading it to a child, the same way you would with any book from an unfamiliar source.

Fabulada is entertainment, not educational, medical, safety, or professional advice of any kind, whatever a story’s topic happens to be.

What you submit

You’re responsible for the topic you type. Don’t submit anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, or anything you don’t have the right to share. Fabulada runs an automated safety check before generating or publishing anything, and we may refuse to generate, or remove, a story or topic at our discretion — including one that passed the automated check but shouldn’t have.

By submitting a topic, you give Fabulada a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use it — together with the story generated from it — to operate and improve the service, including publishing both in the public community library described in the Privacy Policy.

The community library and your use of stories

A story that passes our safety checks is published to a shared library that any visitor can read, like, or dislike. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial license to read, print, and share any story on Fabulada — including one generated from someone else’s topic — for ordinary personal and family use, such as reading it aloud or printing it for your child. You may not resell, relicense, or claim authorship of a story you didn’t write yourself, and Fabulada retains the right to keep, display, and continue offering published stories to others.

Acceptable use

Don’t try to make Fabulada generate unsafe, cruel, or otherwise rule-breaking content, and don’t try to bypass, probe, or defeat its safety checks or rate limits. Don’t scrape, automate, or otherwise overload the service in a way that degrades it for other families, or interfere with its normal operation. Don’t use Fabulada, or any story it generates, in a way that’s unlawful or that endangers a child.

No warranty

Fabulada is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for a particular purpose. Free services occasionally break; we’ll try to fix what breaks, but we don’t promise a particular level of availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Fabulada and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, or from the content of any story, whether generated for you or by another family and read from the community library. Because Fabulada is free, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of it is limited to zero.

Termination

We may suspend or block access for anyone we reasonably believe is violating these terms, abusing the service, or endangering it for other users, without notice.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest version; continuing to use Fabulada after a change means you accept it.
